From the Fishouse is an audio archive of emerging poets and a project I would love to participate in. Just put up a link from Letters From the North to the Fishouse but really wanted to link to the Sherwin Bitsui’s readings featured there, so here it is. Sherwin led workshops at the Kachemak Bay Writer’s Conference in Homer in 2006 and my poem, What Turtle Blood Tastes Like, which inspired this blog, was written during his workshop. This kid (yes he’s actually younger than me so I can say this) is got power, dig in and get sifted through a visceral barrage of the senses.
