In case you missed it, Terry Gross interviewed Wired.com’s, Eliot Van Buskirk on Fresh Air today. Van Buskirk eidts Listening Post, Wired magazine’s music blog. I’ve been writing a paper about the ethics of digital rights management (DRM) technologies used to prevent unauthorized distribution of copyrighted digital music so this conversation was enlightening, it’s very cool to hear about new alternative distribution models like Rcrd Lbl.
Terry Gross’ other guest on today’s show, Dan Kennedy also brings an interesting perspective to the music industry in his book, Rock On: an office power ballad. Included in the interview is Kennedy reading from what I think is the best screw-in-a-lightbulb joke i’ve heard in years.
