wording and wording
blackening the blank page
inking over this bright but
overcast daydream
smile those eyes
reducing to a squint
a fine lash filter to distill
so much bewilderment
how can I be so satisfied
with this thoughtless eye blur?
this whitewashed dreamscape
this blank page before
all of this ink slinging?
begin before words
begin before blank
and the words to describe it
begin in the feeling
of a word rising
from somewhere deep
fluttering up
working its way out
xylem flow
connecting root
to budding leaf
bone to heart
nerve to tongue
a blank page blackening
wording and wording
a thoughtless song
a daydreamed soundtrack
whispering wind through
late spring leaves grown just
enough to rustle
